Fly tipp Clearance and River Cleans

This is my first post – Keep checking every week for updates on all the work going on with Keep Wales Tidy in Wrexham!

I've been busy in and around Wrexham over the past few weeks working with communities on a variety of events aimed at enhancing the environment for all - March saw me working with the Broughton District History Group and up to 40 volunteers clearing fly tipped material from the grounds of an old mid 19th Century Chapel in Pentre Broughton - The enthusiastic group of volunteers that make up the Broughton District History Group deserve recognition for a well organised community event which saw an amazing ten tonnes of fly tipped debris removed from the grounds of the old chapel

More recently I’ve been working with another committed and devoted group of volunteers  in Caia Park clearing litter and debris from the River Gwenfro. The Caia Park Environmental Group regularly hold litter picks in an around Caia and I’ve worked closely with them for the past three years on a wide variety of environmental work – Today we cleared approximately 100 meters of river bank – Not bad for a morning’s work!!
